Hi Jason, back in January you posted on this site just for interest in the contest. You didnt mention anything about this other stuff. At that time you confirmed me on the list, I was just talking to you on Saturday and you didnt mention that I wasnt in. I have been competing for over 5 years and took some time due to injuries. It doesnt really matter if I am competing in your contest or not, the whole thing is you shouldnèt confirm people and not put them in the contest, and not tell them. thanks, Troy!
On a different note everyone, I won a trip to California through GNC(Train with Mr. Olympia Sweep Stakes), next week my wife and I are travelling out on an all expense paid trip to train and hang out with Jay Cutler. Who knows maybe he will convert me into a bodybuilder... NOOOOOO! I might challenge him to a farmers walk... LOL Anyway, see you guys in a couple of weeks, all the best!! Troy....

Troy,
You, along with others were confirmed to the athletes' list. There is a standby list as well, which all other athletes not confirmed, but signed up are on. The confirmed list was chosen with prior athletes who have competed at my competition over the past several years. It only makes sense to leave these spots open to them first. I appologize if anyone was mistaken, but I thought it was clear when I initially posted this competition. Concerns from any of the athletes, please feel free to contact me at any time. 367-7224.

I think reps is more entertaining for the fans. Just my 2 cents. Makes no difference to me man.

Hi Jason, I'm just getting in from school. You forgot me as well, you confirmed me back in January with Chris Harper. Thanks, Troy!

also, the reason for these events is the fact that time is a MAJOR factor with this years' comp. These events take very little time to re-set and will allow for fast turn over between athletes and events.
Framer, the comp is Sunday, June 29th at 12 noon, sharp.

I'm planning on a hold due to the fact I'm using a 69 Pro Street Camaro and the feel is there would be less potential for a scrape or damage to the car if it was a static hold. We can change it, if everyone would prefer reps? It will be heavy, either way. I'd like to see a minute, max for the hold time.
As for the rope, I'd be open to having someone bring theirs, since mine is narrow. Any offers?

Guest Grant wrote: Monday, May 5, 2008 - 2:13 PM

Jason I thought it was DL not hold?

now matter I will try a DL hold and see, but it is looking like alot of tendon work with the stones , pull, and hold. I'm not out yet but I will have to try these things after the atlantics are done.
will you at least make the hold VERY heavy and not a 3 min hold?

Do you have a better rope for the pull?

Hey Jay. I emailed you a month or so ago and you said I was confirmed. Also I am pretty sure Chris Bulman isn't competing this year.

Hey guys. I just picked up some atlas stones off of Shane Oleary this weekend. They're in pretty good shape and will only get better as he makes more. He has the slater stone molds. I have 150, 210, 300 and 416. We'll be using these for the PEI comp and Alex W said he'd bring a ~360 stone for the 4th. These will be going onto barrels.
We had to drop an event due to time restraints this year during the Festival of Lights. The prize money is still the same though.
Event 1: Farmers walk. ~280 for 200 Feet.
Event 2: Truck Pull. Arm over Arm. 100 Feet. (this was voted, with only 1 vote for harness.....sorry Grant!)
Event 3: Atlas stones onto barrels. 150, 210, 300, 360, 416
Event 4: Car deadlift hold for time.
Confirmed athletes so far
1. Grant Conners
2. Jay Smith
3. Danny Sutherland
4. Keith McNight
5. Chris Bullman
6. Chris Harper
7. Alex Wallace

well guys here is a faild video of me on the stones but you get to see the platforms real well. as you can cee there are no spotters and you must controal your own stone. And the first is high but time being 5'8 has no problems at at, Terry M also loaded 4 today with no issues.

Guest Grant wrote: Sunday, May 4, 2008 - 9:22 AM

I will post a pic today.

Guest Chris Murray wrote: Sunday, May 4, 2008 - 8:27 AM

What do the new platforms look like Grant. You mentioned they were like the ones in the Canadians. Were they the ones that were round att the top with a wide base and get narrow as they go up?

Guest Terry wrote: Sunday, May 4, 2008 - 2:01 AM

I'll swing by about 5:30 or 6

Guest Grant wrote: Saturday, May 3, 2008 - 7:18 PM
