  A sad day today. Don't want to say to much about it, but one of our youg helpers for our comps here has died, he will be very missed as the great kid that he was, RIP KIRBY WARD...............................

  july 30th here i come.......

  Hey Jimmy, I will always be up for the trip, Good show good people and yes very good BEER. lol. It will be nice to have a break from the ferry trip, but I look very foward to your next show.

  things look to be going good for everyone. This weekend coming is usually our Goose Bay comp, gotta say we are all gonna miss it up here this year. We are fundraising for something next year if the interest is there and the proper details can be worked out, I know it is a year away but feel free to fire off any questions whenever you need some info. Look forward to hearing from some of you guys. I think the guys who have been here know what we are all about and what we can offer. Good luck with the rest of the season.

  Just in, guys and Gals out there we have just confirmed a major sponsor for Alberton and they want me to do a woman's contest too!! So anyone who knows any girls that may be interested let me know or tell them to email me!!
The plan is to run the women's with the Jr's or if there is enough interest we may even run them on Friday evening .

As for the show, I'm glad the response from the lifters is positive. I always try and run the show from an athletes' point of view......

The Peake's Quay Challenge has been running as part of the Festival of Lights for 4 years now. Basically, the festival has been taken in a different direction by new staff. I'm uncertain of the future of it and it's contents. As far as committement from all of you as competitors, it definitely helps as far as leverage I have for keeping committements from sponsors. I hope that we are able to keep this great event going, year after year.

I'll keep everyone updated on what I hear of the future of the event and I hope all parties involved will make every attempt at keeping it a yearly venue.

  Sounds good Alex;will the log press be at 170 and the farmers at 200, like it has been previous years?

  Looks like a very tight show. must of made for a very interesting comp. Jay I don't know if it would help but If it will help keep your show going for next year I will sign up now for it. I will work out the fine print with the other side later.
You have always run a great show rain or shine and I would hate to see another show go under.
No matter what you decide it was Great competiting for and with you.

Proceeds from shirts sales will be going toward the childrens wish foundation!!

It was a pleasure once again hosting. We always walk away from the event with a great feeling and remembering just how great all the Strongman Competitors are here in the maritimes. I consider each one of you a great friend and commerade! I do miss the competition side of the events, but I don't miss how much it beats a fella up!!!

  Well first off Thanks J. Mosher for all you do for the sport of strongman even when you don't compete anymore. We need more guys like you!! and we need your show its one of the best to compete at!

Congrats to Framer! Good to see you again and compete with, your a class act!!

  The Atlantics will not be in PEI next year , sorry. We are in dealings with promoter.
I want to find the proper home for them before I retire.

  Yes, big Framer took a margin win over Chris Harper and Alex Wallace placing 3rd. Sorry I didn't post results immidiately, but my shoe phone internet was down.

It was a fantastic day for the event, a little too warm, unfortunately.....
Danny Sutherland was nice enough to let someone else puke after the farmers walk this year..... Big John Schooten took that one....

Thanks again for all the competitors, spotters and sponsors for making this year's event such a big success.

Alex and I would like to put it out there that we would like to host the Atlantics here on PEI next year if all parties involved would allow it to be.
